HORRIBLE BOSSES fog's review with trailer & interview

Three friends decide the only solution to surviving their tortuous jobs, is to kill the boss!
Nick Hendricks (Jason Bateman) works for a financial firm and he is emotionally tortured by Dave Harken (Kevin Spacey); after leading Nick on that he will get the promotion, Dave takes the job himself, so now he has more power and money. Dave loves to set Nick up for falls, such as tricking him into joining Dave for a drink of scotch before 9am, (then Dave doesn’t drink) and then letting everyone know Nick has a drinking problem.
Pathetic, yes, but ultimately it is effective in keeping Nick in his place.
Dale Arbus (Charlie Day) works as a dental assistant and suffers constant sexual harassment from his boss Dr. Julia Harris (Jennifer Aniston); his pals can’t understand what he is complaining about.
But the dentist starts threatening to tell Dale’s wife they are doing it, after she shows him Polaroids she took when he was under gas in the chair, and she is on top of him. The dentist character is a psychopath, of course, but this one doesn’t work for me, as she is too pretty and he isn’t! If she had been big, fat and ugly, then that would have been more believable.
The third pal, Kurt Buckman (Jason Sudeikis) loves his nice boss Jack Pellitt (Donald Sutherland) but he suddenly dies from a heart attack, so Jack's cocaine-addicted SOB son Bobby (Colin Farrell) takes over the company.
Farrell’s look and performance is incredible, a must see! The great pity was the wonderful Sutherland’s character getting the chop in a few minutes of appearing, I was looking forward to more of his presence. However, Farrell’s character is priceless! That comb over, for a start, is an incredible look.
So, the dissatisfied three conspire to hire a hit-man, that doesn’t work out at all well, as he actually provides another type of service, which I will let you find out for yourself. Then they hatch a cunning plan, each knocks off the other’s boss. Events, naturally, go awry.
I thought this would be another ‘ho hum’ predictable lame Hollywood comedy, but it has some nice little twists and turns, and with Kevin Spacey and Colin Farrell on board, it can’t be all bad.
However, I felt the leads, the three disgruntled employees, were put in the comedic shade by supporting cast members Farrell and Spacey. Another notable support is Jamie Foxx who plays a tough looking hustling ex-con that the boys find in a sleazy bar, and his advice is expensive, and the payoff amusing, an old adage, but, never judge a book by its cover.
Certainly worth the ticket price, especially if you are having a hard time at work.
Remember, it is okay to momentarily fantasise about killing your boss after a tough day...just don’t buy the gun!
